Diversity

Diversity is integral to Atkore's culture, and we believe that it is key to openness and innovation.
 
Atkore maintains initiatives to embed diversity across our organization. Our strategic roadmap guides these efforts and enables us to monitor the progress of the specific actions we are undertaking. Diversity is overseen at the board level by the Human Resources and Compensation Committee, and we also have an employee-led team and long-standing Steering Committee to further support our initiatives. Each month, the Diversity Team and our Human Resources team review key metrics to ensure we are on track with our goals.

We communicate our commitment to diversity to employees from the start of their engagement with Atkore. Atkore’s “Building Your Team” training teaches methods to mitigate bias in the interview process and requires that panel interviews include at least one diverse candidate and one diverse interviewer. We also include a clause in our recruiting agency agreements that memorializes our shared commitment to sourcing diverse candidates.

Once hired, employees engage in ongoing diversity training throughout the onboarding, training, and other initiatives. Every year, all employees complete anti-harassment training and continue to engage with employees and measure our progress through our annual Employee Engagement and Alignment Survey to ensure continuous improvement.
