We are thrilled to announce the Atkore Design Contest
A competition that celebrates the innovative work and creative minds of full-time employed Trade Professionals who design projects using Autodesk Revit® software.
Atkore is a leading manufacturer for cable management, conduit, PVC tubing, metal tubing, conduit, cable systems, strut, razor wire, and safety products. We invite you to get creative and design furniture pieces using one or many of our various products!
The submission period starts on May 8, 2023, and runs until July 14, 2023. Plus, if you're one of the first 25 submissions, you'll win a $100 Amazon Gift Card!
What will you design?
Office furniture piece(s) using with one or a combination of Atkore products (Unistruts, cable trays, conduits, fittings. For reference check out the Atkore Products List) The furniture piece could be (but not limited to) a picnic table, desk, chair, lights, coffee table, shelves, bench – anything you could see it being used in your workplace! Design must be unique, creative, and functional, at least 70% of design elements must be Atkore product.
What will you submit?
To participate, simply complete the registration process by filling out the provided form. During this step, you'll be asked to upload two images or 3D renderings that showcase your innovative design. Additionally, please include a brief description that highlights the key features and functionality of your creation. This information will help us evaluate your design submission.

Use of Atkore Products

By incorporating a blend of innovation, originality, and distinctiveness in both form and function, a well-designed creation offers a unique and purposeful experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Aesthetics
Worth up to 20 Points: Design is the skillful act of developing a product or solution with distinct qualities that set it apart from others. This creative process involves combining innovative ideas, original concepts, and unique elements to achieve an exceptional balance between aesthetics and functionality. As a result, a well-crafted design provides a memorable and purpose-driven experience that stands the test of time.
Functionality
Worth up to 30 Points: Worth up to 30 Points: The criterion of functionality evaluates how well a design serves its intended purpose, focusing on the practical aspects and usability of the created product or solution.
Q: What products does Atkore have?
A: Product lines include everything from PVC, HDPE, steel, fiberglass and specialty conduit to armored cable, cable management systems, fasteners, safety and security products and framing systems.
Q: Where can I find Atkore Revit families?
A: You can find Revit Atkore families on the Atkore BIM Library or by installing Atkore BIM Toolbar
Q: What if I don’t have Revit, can I use Inventor?
A: Yes you can use inventor, as long as you use products/parts that Atkore provides
Q: What if I want to use a family that is a product of Atkore but not in the BIM Library?
A: You can contact us at atkoretoolbar@atkore.com for any requests or questions
Q: Can we use products or materials that are not Atkore’s?
A: Yes, as long as 70% of the total design is Atkore products.
Q: What are the judging criteria for the contest?
A. Entries will be judged based on innovation and uniqueness (0-20 points), aesthetics (0-20 points), functionality (0-30 points), and the use of Atkore products (30 points) for a maximum score of 100 points.
Q: How many entries can I submit?
A: You may enter the contest one (1) time during the contest period.
Q: What is the submission deadline?
A: Submissions must be received before July 14, 2023, at 9:00 AM ET to be eligible for the contest.
Q: How will finalists and the winner be selected?
A: On or about July 21, 2023, judges will review all eligible entries and select up to five (5) finalists based on the judging criteria. The Grand Prize winner will be selected from the finalists.
Q: What happens if there is a tie in the judging process?
A: In the event of a tie, an additional tie-breaking judge will evaluate the tied entries using the judging criteria to determine the winner.
Q: What if I am selected as a finalist?
If you are selected as a finalist, you may be required to submit additional project summaries, .RVT files, and other relevant documents as requested by the sponsor or administrator.
