John P. Williamson President and Chief Executive Officer
John P. Williamson assumed the roles of President and Chief Executive Officer of Atkore International on June 1, 2011. Before joining Atkore, Williamson spent six years with ITT Corporation most recently as President of the Water & Wastewater Division, a $1.8 billion global manufacturing company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with 180 locations and 45 subsidiaries. Prior to that, he was President of the Residential and Commercial Water Division and ITT Corporate Vice President and Director for Operational Excellence. Prior to ITT, Mr. Williamson was employed for more than 17 years within several operating divisions of Danaher Corporation. Until 2005, Mr. Williamson was Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Fluke Corporation. Mr. Williamson also served as President of Jennings Technology Corporation. Additionally, he held leadership and management positions at Veeder-Root Company, Danaher Controls, Dynapar and Disc Instruments. Mr. Williamson began his career with Connector Technology, Inc. in 1981.
Mr. Williamson earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from California State University Fullerton and holds a Certificate in Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard Business School.
James A. Mallak Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mallak joined Atkore International in March 2012. Prior to joining the company, he served as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm where he focused on international financial management, corporate financial administration, merger and acquisition transactions and corporate restructuring. Prior to that, Mr. Mallak was the Chief Financial Officer at Tower Automotive with responsibility for ensuring the financial integrity of 48 manufacturing locations. He also served as Executive Vice President and CFO for two operating segments of Textron, Inc., a global manufacturer for the aerospace and defense, automotive and transportation, as well as industrial manufacturing industries. While there, Mr. Mallak managed teams supporting controllership and reporting, internal controls and policies, tax, manufacturing accounting, as well as internal audit and ethics and treasury. Mr. Mallak began his career at ITT Automotive, holding progressive leadership roles in the finance arena during his 14 year tenure.
Mr. Mallak earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State University.
Patrick Bass Director - Atkore Business System
Mr. Bass was appointed to the position in October 2012. He joined the company in 2007 beginning as a Senior Process Engineer and then transitioning to Lead Coating Designer for New Product Introductions as well as Atkore Production Systems Manager until being named to his current role. Prior to that, Mr. Bass was Operations Manager and New Business/New Products Development Manager at II VI (Two Six), a designer and developer of solid state laser systems and defense systems for the military. Additionally, Mr. Bass spent eight years at PPG, an ophthalmic, glass and coatings manufacturer, where he held responsibilities as Lean Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Manager, as well as Raw Materials Manager. Mr. Bass earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio Technical College and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from The University of Michigan. He is a Certified Master Black Belt and a Certified LEAN Sensei.
Steve Elsdon President - Unistrut Construction
Mr. Elsdon was named to his current position in December 2013. Prior to that, he held the position of President-Unistrut International since July 2012. Mr. Elsdon also held the position of President-North America Cable Management since April 2011. He joined the company in 2005 as Vice President - Sales & Marketing for Columbia-MBF, the market leader supplying steel and aluminum conduit accessories, cable, raceways, connection and supporting solutions for the Canadian market. Prior to that, Mr. Elsdon spent more than 10 years in sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility within Cooper Industries. He has completed courses at the executive education center at Shulich School of Business, York University and holds a Master's Certificate in Business Administration from York University.
Kevin P. Fitzpatrick Vice President - Global Human Resources
Mr. Fitzpatrick joined Atkore International in January 2012. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for A.M. Castle & Company, a global distributor of specialty metals and supply chain services for aerospace, oil & gas, heavy equipment and other industries, from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Fitzpatrick also served as Vice President, North American Human Resources and Administration for UPM Kymmene Corporation, a global forest products manufacturer, from 2001-2009. His past experience includes leadership roles in other manufacturing companies, where he was responsible for compensation and benefits, labor relations, talent acquisition and management, training, and employment matters. Mr. Fitzpatrick earned a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
Daniel Kelly Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary
Mr. Kelly joined Atkore in September 2013. For the past 20 years, Mr. Kelly worked in strategic legal officer roles within various businesses of ITT Corporation and Xylem, Inc., a 2011 spinoff from ITT. Most recently at Xylem, Mr. Kelly served as acting General Counsel with responsibility for all legal and compliance matters, including SEC filing, corporate governance oversight, intellectual property, acquisitions, contracts and litigation, as well held the role of Deputy General Counsel, Litigation and Contracts. Before that, he was VP and General Counsel of ITT Fluid and Motion Control, covering all of ITT's commercial businesses and prior to that, he was VP and General Counsel of ITT Defense Electronics and Services. Mr. Kelly also spent three years at ITT Corporation as Deputy General Counsel, Director Field Legal Support, where he provided business and legal counsel for the company’s three global operating groups. Mr. Kelly’s career began at Sidley & Austin with an antitrust and commercial litigation practice. Mr. Kelly earned a Juris Doctor cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on International Economics from Georgetown University.
Bob Pereira President - AFC Cable
Mr. Pereira has served in this role since being named in April 2011. He joined the company in 1985 and has served in a number of key management roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President - Cable Operations with responsibility for manufacturing, distribution and product development at several key facilities. Additionally, Mr. Pereira has held a prominent role in developing a number of the company's Patented and Patent Pending products. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pereira was Vice President and General Manager for the Electrical Products Division of Revere Copper and Brass. He holds a Bachelor's degree in management from the University of Massachusetts and has completed additional post-graduate studies at Northeastern University.
Steve Robins Vice President - Strategic Sourcing
Mr. Robins was named to this position in July 2012 after joining the company as Director-Strategic Sourcing in August 2009. Previously, Mr. Robins served from 2006 to 2009 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing Flat Rolled Steel NA for ArcelorMittal International, the international trading arm of ArcelorMittal. Mr. Robins prior experience included assignments at ThyssenKrupp NA, including Vice President - Operation and Quality for Copper and Brass Sales, Vice President Automotive Sales for ThyssenKruppNA, and Vice President - Purchasing for Thyssen Steel. Mr. Robins began his career at General Motors and progressed through a series of assignments of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and material management with both Chevrolet and the Truck and Bus Group. Mr. Robins earned a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Michigan, School of Business, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
Bill Taylor President - Allied Tube & Conduit
Mr. Taylor joined the company in January 2013. Previously, Mr. Taylor spent ten years at ITT, an $11 billion global multi-industry company that deployed technologies and services in the Fluid Technology, Motion & Flow Control, and Defense market sectors. Most recently at ITT, Mr. Taylor was President-ITT Interconnect Solutions & Senior Vice President of ITT Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Taylor was President of ITT China/India. Mr. Taylor's tenure with ITT began in the ITT Fluid Technology Group, where he held positions of Vice President-Process Products Division and President of the Industrial & Biopharm Value Center. Additionally, Mr. Taylor has held executive leadership positions at Delta Companies Consolidated, Inc. and Sundyne Corp. Mr. Taylor began his career at Sundstrand Aviation. Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management from Regis University.
Gary Uren Vice President - Business Development and Strategy
Mr. Uren was named to this position in July 2012. Previously, Mr. Uren served as President-EMEA and APAC with responsibiity for the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Uren joined the company in 2008 as Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region with responsibility for growing the Australia business as well as developing manufacturing capabilities in Changshu, China. Mr. Uren has 20 years' experience as a senior executive in the Electrical Products, Technology and Building Services sectors, working extensively throughout Australia and Asia. Immediately prior to joining the company, Mr. Uren was Managing Director of Legrand Australia/New Zealand for eight years and Director of HPM-Legrand. Mr. Uren concurrently served as a Director of AEEMA, the peak representative body for the Australian Electrical ICT & Electronics industries. He holds a Diploma in Management from St. George Technical College and a Master of International Business (MBA) from Southern Cross University.
William (Bill) Waltz President - PVC Business
Mr. Waltz joined the company in his current position in July 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Waltz was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Strategic Materials, Inc., North America’s largest glass recycler company. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in various divisions of Pentair, a $7.5 billion water technologies and industrial products company, including leadership roles of President - Pentair Flow Technologies, Vice President and General Manager of Pentair Water Treatment Division; VP and GM for Aurora Pump, VP-Sourcing and International Operations; as well as Director-Commercial & Industrial business unit. Mr. Waltz began his career at General Electric. Mr. Waltz earned a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Villanova University, a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and is a graduate of General Electric’s Information Systems Management Program.
Lisa Winter Director - Corporate Relations
Ms. Winter was named to her current position in November 2012 with responsibility for communications that build support for the company's vision, values and strategies among employees, investors, civic leaders, media as well as the general communities in which Atkore has a presence. Ms. Winter joined the company as Manager-Communications and Strategic Planning in August 2008. Prior to Atkore International, Ms. Winter was Global Networking Marketing Manager at Panduit Corporation, a leading datacom and electrical networking solutions provider. Ms. Winter also was responsible for corporate branding, marketing communications and employee communications for roles she held while at TransUnion, a credit information and information management services company. Ms. Winter began her career at Ameritech/Illinois Bell, holding several internal and external communication positions of increasing responsibility. Ms. Winter earned a Masters of Science degree in Communications from Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
